Reduced fee services
At Portland Psychotherapy, we are committed to making high quality psychotherapy available to everyone in our community.
For that reason, we hire a psychologist resident each year to see people who do not have the financial resoures to pay our normal fees. A psychologist resident is someone who has completed his or her doctorate in psychology but is not yet licensed in this state.
Our residents are selected through a national search, and we choose only highly qualified therapists experienced in evidenced-based psychotherapies. Our residents receive additional specialty training, spend two days a week conducting scientific research, and receive supervision from our most experienced licensed psychologists. This arrangement allows us to offer high quality, doctoral-level psychological services for affordable fees.
